Getting started
Setting up your phone and paper
Rest the phone on a glass, a stack of books or a stand, about 20 to 30 cm above the paper. The paper should fill the screen.
Paper lock tips
Turn on Paper lock in the tracing toolbar with all four corners of the sheet in view. Clear art keeps the picture on the paper as it moves. If your hand covers a corner, it holds the last good position until it can see the sheet again.
Getting good line art from a photo
In Prepare, turn on Line art and use the detail slider. Photos with one clear subject work best. If Clear art cannot find a clear subject, it tells you, and you can trace the photo as it is.
Locking and unlocking the picture
Tap Lock so the picture cannot move while you draw. To unlock it, hold two fingers on the screen.
Pro
How to cancel Pro
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Lifetime is a single payment, so there is nothing to cancel.
Restore a purchase on a new phone
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Clear art, go to Settings, then Clear art Pro, and tap Restore purchases.
Family Sharing
Clear art Pro is shared with your family through Family Sharing.
When a plan ends
Drawings you downloaded stay on your phone and saved sessions still open. New Pro packs and saving new sessions need Pro again. Tracing your own photos stays free.
